The founders of IELTE

Hello guys! Now I’m going to tell you about on what project we are working in these days with our friendly group 1E. So we are supposed to prepare interesting and informative articles about IELTE and we are going to make it ready until the anniversary – the main event in 2010 in our program as its tenth anniversary of IELTE. For that reason I prefer to write about founders of IELTE. About that people such as: Michal Benson, Ruth Pertzold, Saida Irgasheva and many others who put tremendous afford to open this program and about peoples who support financially to develop the IELTE. There is also information how IELTE teachers were selected to this program what things have been done to reach up today’s success. So I hope you will read it and this article will be interesting for you as well…

May- was the most difficult and busy month for me.

Hi everyone. How are you doing? If you wanted to ask mу the same question…I would like to say that I’m good despite all the task which we have done in this month and what we have to do till the end of the May. Especially coming to the end of academic year from all subjects we should do some particular task, project and presentations. For example from writing we were given a task to write an articles for IELTE newsletter, from vocabulary we should do kind of little project where we will arrange and create activities for the presentation that we had done from this subject, from speaking we should prepare persuasive speech and from study skill we were expected to do design for poster with our logo but I think all students have forgotten about it:). In addition we should be ready for final test which going to star after 5days to the point. So guys I wish you very GOOD LUCK in your finals!!!

Miss University…

Hello everybody!!! It’s still me...Zebo)) now I would like to inform you about event that is going to happen in our university. In the 3rd of May is going to be held Miss University 2010. This is actually a competition where will take part one girl from each philology (Russian, 1st English, 2nd, etc) and from the IELTE Sevara (our monitor) was chosen as a participant. As far as know there will be 4 tasks which girls will be asked to do.

1. Introduction
2. Intellectual questions.
3. Role playing
4. Dancing
Our guys want to help her with role playing and they also will participate on this performing. Also she is really good at dancing so I hope that she will do her best. We wish her Good Luck!!!

Plagiarism

What is the plagiarism? Using the words of another person without his\her permission, without paying any money considered as plagiarism. Nowadays plagiarism is one of the wide spread problem in every sphere, especially among the students. If to observe it from the point of education, it’s seemed to me that plagiarism has badly influence on a literacy of students, since they just use readymade materials taken from the internet and show them as their own works. Due to they rely on it and further they totally lose their ability to express personal thoughts, so that, they gradually become as narrow-minded student.

To avoid plagiarism have been set strict rules by authorities and teachers at high schools, colleges and universities. As a good example for this can be our IELTE program. If student does plagiarism from 1 subject while quiz or midterm exam, all his\her other subjects will be assessed very low even he\she had got high score. Also if students do plagiarism in final exam or in diploma work they will be DISMISSED!!! So let’s be nice)) & don’t use others work as our own.

Academic year is ending.

  Recently in September we came to the university as a 1st year students but 8 month have passed so quickly and after month we going to finish our 1st academic year. While this time we were busy with studying and having fun with friends in our campus.

    We had interesting and informative lectures from the Linguistic that was conducted by Mr. Sodikov or Science of Law by Ms.Yejova. Also lot’s of effective and successful seminars with our wonderful teachers. For example: from writing we’ve learned how to write cause and effect essay, how to choose appropriate thesis statement, how to write an essay by doing a survey with questionnaires. Moreover we had presentations from study skills, grammar, linguistic and integrated skills on a various topics. Even during midterm exams we were engaged with revision previous lesson and sometimes couldn’t manage do our presentation till the deadline so, when it’s came to the assessment teachers had to evaluate us with lower grades. Despite this we tried to study hard and get good marks. Another, one of the most pleasurable moment in our students life is getting scholarship because after getting it we go to the cinema, café, bowling and other places.

Women’s Day!

International Women’s Day is marked on the 8th of March every year. So in this day all women of the world celebrate their favorite holiday and on that wonderful day (08.03.10), IELTE girls also weren’t exception. At the first lesson IELTE boys all together congratulate us. One of them told a speech in English whereas another in Uzbek and Russian. In addition our boys brought a big, sweet holiday cake with inscription “Happy Holiday” and we ate it at canteen with our friendly group, but unfortunately at that day there were not any teacher in the office and we couldn’t have chance to share our sweet cake and happy moments with them. Also I liked those congratulation cards with warm wishes which were prepared to each girl separately. One more thing which made our girls happy is a new, big mirror which was presented by sophomore boys and hanged on a first floor. And now I wanted to thank all the IELTE boys for that unforgettable day!!!

Bobur Mirzo and Saint Valentine's Day

Hello everybody!!! I’m really happy to tell you that I’m enjoying studying in IELTE. Especially the events, projects which we organized do the study process very interesting.
For example the presentation which took part recently, in 14th February was dedicated to our ancestor Mirzo Bobur’s birthday and Saint Valentine's Day. To that presentation were involved all groups and they had to perform it separately, each group on their class from integrated skills. Uzbek speaking students prepared presentation about Mirzo Bobur, while Russian speaking students had a presentation about Saint Valentine's Day Both groups were very active and give lots of interesting information about their topics: read the Bobur’s poems, told about his achievements, impact and heritage to our culture. Also our group performed role playing which represented the history of Valentine’s Day. The heart shaped posters with wings, angels and cupids give the presentation kind of magic atmosphere. Also on that day love box was opened, and all the addressees got their love letters… But unfortunately to our group there wasn’t any letter))) All in all this day was memorable for us!!!
